PotScout — Privacy Policy

What PotScout does

PotScout reads the publicly visible campaign list on contentrewards.com and shows it with filters in a browser side panel. It also stores periodic snapshots of each campaign's public budget figures to compute burn rates.

What is stored, and where

Everything PotScout stores — your filter settings, presets, campaign snapshots and (if you buy Pro) your license key — is kept locally in your browser's extension storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.

Network requests

• contentrewards.com — to load the public campaign list. No account data, cookies or personal information are read or sent.
• potscout.com — once an hour the extension downloads a small public data file (campaign burn rates, updated daily) so the numbers on the campaign cards work from the first minute. That request carries two things and nothing else: a random cookie set by potscout.com (a number, not linked to any name or e-mail) that lets the site tell whether your browser is still inside its 7-day Pro trial, and - only if you activated Pro - your Gumroad license key, so the site can serve the Pro figures. The license key is stored on potscout.com only as a hash. No browsing data, no campaign choices, no personal information.

  api.gumroad.com — only when you activate or re-validate a Pro license: the license key you entered is sent to Gumroad to confirm the purchase. See Gumroad's own privacy policy for their handling.

What PotScout does NOT do

• No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
• No collection of personal data.
• No reading of your browsing history or other tabs.
• No selling or sharing of any data — there is nothing to share.
